Whistle Britches’s delicious, original concept of “chicken, biscuits, and beer” has made it one of my favorite restaurants in West Plano.
My go to is the Love Me Tender: Four chicken strips, a Biscuit, and either Cole Slaw or Potato Salad

Pie Tap

If you are craving pizza, there is no better place in West Plano than Pie Tap. Their creative takes on Wings, Pasta, Pizza, etc., will keep you coming back for more!
My go-to order at Pie Tap is the Chicken Pizza: chicken, barbecue sauce, cilantro, pepperoncini, mozzarella, bacon, and red onion. I always start with the garlic and parmesan Knots too.

Katy Trail Outpost has a wide variety of great beer, some of my favorite BBQ and burgers, and one of the best patios in the city, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal in our beautiful Texas weather.
You can never go wrong with the classics, and the 1/2 pound Cheeseburger at Katy Trail Outpost is my absolute favorite, especially with a side of onion rings.

Velvet Taco

Velvet Taco’s new location has quickly become one of my favorite stops. Their diverse and creative menu, is full of flavor! Stop by and try their Weekly Taco Feature; a new creation that changes each week!
The Buffalo Chicken and Chicken & Waffle Tacos are my favorites from Velvet Taco, which is really saying something! Their sides of Queso, and the ‘Elote’ Corn are favorites of mine too!

Picking the best barbecue place in West Plano is no easy task, but Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse tops the list! With food that is made fresh every day from scratch, it is hard to compete with Pappas Delta Blues.
My personal favorite from Pappas is the Prime Brisket with Jalapeño & Cheddar Sausage. Start your meal with the Sticky Pork Belly Bites! So good, OMG!

The Shacks at Austin Ranch

The Shacks at Austin Ranch are another one of my favorite stops (and my golden retriever Corky’s too)! With 6 great restaurants, a shared outdoor patio, and an off-the-leash dog park, The Shacks had to be on this list.
My favorite order from these 6 restaurants is the Steak Burrito from OMG Tacos. Be sure to try their Sweet Daze Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream too!

Truck Yard

Truck Yard’s location in The Colony is another of my favorite stops. With an awesome rotation of food trucks inside this “beer garden and adult playground” Truck Yard is always a great choice.
The rotating food trucks at Truck Yard are great, especially any of the BBQ ones. I highly recommend them!
