Matt’s Dallas BBQ Map

Dallas BBQ Map.png

Dallas is full of BBQ restaurants, and it can be hard to separate the good from the great, and the great from the best.

That’s why I created my Dallas BBQ Map. Check out the map and the list below to find some of the best BBQ in the Dallas area.

Whenever I go for BBQ, I order Brisket and Jalapeño Sausage. The sides, though, depend on the restaurant, and the list below is full of great restaurants with their own delicious sides! Try them out and let me know what you think at Matt@HaistingsRE.com

Lockhart Smoke House
1026 East 15th Street Plano, TX 75074
lockhartsmokehouse.com

A full slate of great barbecue “smoked over Texas post oak”: that’s exactly what you’re getting with Lockhart Smoke House, the “Barbecue Capital of Texas.” With classic Southern sides, Texas beers on tap, and “a full bar with specialty cocktails,” Lockhart Smoke House is one of the premier barbecue stops in DFW.

Pecan Lodge.jpg

Pecan Lodge
2702 Main St, Dallas, TX 75226
pecanlodge.com

The Pecan Lodge website says: “Where there’s smoke. There’s flavor. That’s Pecan Lodge in a nutshell.” Couldn’t agree more. With wood fuel BBQ pit that runs 24 hours a day, Pecan Lodge has been called “one of the Top 4 BBQ joints in the world,” by Texas Monthly. Head out to Pecan Lodge “in the heart of Deep Ellum” and see for yourself!

Pappas Delta Blues

pappasdeltablues.com

Already featured in our Matt’s West Plano Favorites blog, Pappas Delta Blues is not only one of the best restaurants in Plano, but in all DFW. You can tell that their food is all made from scratch, in-house, daily. Their website claims that they offer “Nothing but the Best” and they are not lying.

Hard8.jpg

Hard Eight Pit BBQ
5300 State Hwy 121, The Colony, TX 75056
hardeightbbq.com

A family owned and operated business offering “a fun atmosphere, delicious food, and some good ‘ole southern hospitality,” Hard Eight is another of DFW’s premier BBQ restaurants. Originally founded in Stephenville, now with 6 locations across DFW, Hard Eight’s success, and its food, speaks for itself!

RudysFrisco.jpg

Rudy’s Country Store & Bar-B-Q
9828 Dallas Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75034
rudysbbq.com

Founded in Leon Springs, at the edge of Texas Hill Country just north of San Antonio, Rudy’s has been serving its original BBQ recipes since 1989. Slow cooked in 100% wood-fired with oak pits and seasoned with their dry spice to perfection, Rudy’s and their famous “Sause” is truly “Real Texas Bar-B-Q.” Now a big chain, I think Rudy’s is a consistently good BBQ spot.

SonnyBryan's.jpg

Sonny Bryan’s Smokehouse
1251 W Campbell Rd #240, Richardson, TX 75080
sonnybryans.com

Serving barbecue since 1910, Sonny Bryan’s is a Dallas BBQ staple. Although their original, flagship restaurant has been expanded to include additional seating and a beer room, Sonny Bryan’s BBQ has stood the test of time, and helped them grow to two additional locations, on Lovers Lane and W Campbell, in addition to the original on Inwood.

If you’re looking for a BBQ joint that specializes in catering, look no further than Meat U Anywhere. They have also recently opened dine-in locations in Grapevine and Trophy Club. Slow cooking their meat with seasoned oak & hickory wood, offering exclusive sides, and breakfast tacos, Meat U Anywhere offers a unique barbecue experience that is sure to blow you away.

BabbBros.jpg

Babb Brothers BBQ & Blues
3015 Gulden Ln, Dallas, TX 75212
babbbrothers.com

Located in Trinity Groves in Dallas, Babb Brothers “is the down-home BBQ joint you’ve been searching for.” Babb Brothers’ goal is to offer authentic, American BBQ and they sure don’t disappoint. Besides the great BBQ, try the sweet tea, able to be bought by the gallon, or any one of their southern style desserts.

ten50bbq.jpg

Ten 50 BBQ
1050 N. Central Expy, Richardson, Texas 75080
ten50bbq.com

“Quality cuts smoked low & slow Central Tx style”: that’s Ten 50 BBQ. Serving certified USDA prime meat, their goal is “to make sure your meal is not just great - it’s memorable” and they sure do live up to that standard. With a location in Richardson, and another coming soon to Grapevine, there’s no excuse for not trying Ten 50 BBQ!

If there is a restaurant you think deserving of being on this list, be sure to let me know at Matt@HaistingsRE.com. I will not delay in trying it out myself!
