Into the Weekend - December 3rd, 2021

December is here and the holiday season is in full swing.  This area is home to plenty of options for holiday adventures, just a few of which I've included in this week's letter.  This warm weather inspired us to release a video we've been storing in our vault: about one of my favorites places to spend time outdoors with my pup.  With nearly 80-degree weather this weekend, you may want to escape there yourself.   I'll be away next week so be on the lookout for a special edition of Into the Weekend, guest edited by my teammate Natalia.  I'm sure she has some fun things in store.  In the meantime, stay safe and have fun! Local Happenings Dueling Pianos Join New York Dueling Pianos for a high-octane fiesta of piano playing madness. 2 performers! 2 pianos! The show is free to the public. Christmas at the Arboretum Dallas’ favorite holiday tradition at the Arboretum!  Enjoy the Christmas Village, visits with Santa Claus, entertainment, shopping, food & beverage options and the NEW 50-foot tall Dazzling Musical Tree with 42,000 lights. In the evenings, the garden comes to life for a beautiful nighttime experience Daily until Saturday, December 30th Lifestyle Tips The Best Holiday Destinations for 2022 I have a pent up desire to travel.  Conde Naste recently published this list of Holiday Destinations for 2022.  If not for this holiday, then some interesting inspiration nonetheless.  I was also surprised to see Bend, Oregon - not too far from my hometown, make the list - I'd recommend it, too.  Hopefully this list reminds you why we travel and sparks curiosity and adventure. Courtesy of Condé Nast Traveller My Most Recent Video The Shacks at Austin Ranch  The Shacks is nestled among huge oak trees, on the edge of West Plano and The Colony. The unique concept includes six restaurants that share a large, open-air patio overlooking a one-acre dog park. Bacon’s Dog Park is open to the public and features separate areas for both large and small breeds, with both zones including benches and play structures.  I'm routinely at the Shacks with my Golden Retriever Corky.  A fun place to grab a casual meal, a beer, and enjoy some hill country vibes with your pup.
