TGIF.  Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week?  I'm certainly excited as it's one my favorites holidays.   In this week's note, I share with you some fun local happenings, the best local restaurants for ordering out this Thanksgiving, my most recent video and my usual market musings - this time with a word of caution for today's buyers. Local Happenings Plano Christmas Market  Plano Christmas Market, held this weekend, is a fun and free event that showcases handmade holiday gift items. Other exhibitors have jewelry and clothing for adults and children, along with candles and soaps. There will also be a wonderful selection of salsas, jams, nuts, and dips for gifts or holiday parties.   Disney in Concert by Plano Symphony Orchestra Plano Symphony Orchestra and Broadway vocalists will perform songs from your family’s favorite Disney movies. This concert is perfect for the entire family.   Saturday, November 18th | 8:00 PM  Mutt's Cantina - Now Open in Allen I always appreciate the opportunity to bring along my canine companion, Corky. I'm excited about the recent opening of Mutt's Cantina in Allen, which features an off-leash dog park, and an outdoor restaurant and beer garden. Located at Watters Creek in Allen. Lifestyle Tips Local Thanksgiving Takeout Options I was recently asked if I'm a good cook and my response was: "I prefer not to cook".  Luckily, I will be enjoying Thanksgiving out of town with family this year.  However, if I were here locally, I would definitely be considering one of these delicious options for Thanksgiving Takeout.
