Into the Weekend - October 15, 2021

The weekend is here! ...and I really can't believe we're half-way through October.  In just a two weeks it will be Halloween.   These days I spend my free time soaking up every moment I can outside.  Thus, I'm sharing my recent video about Arbor Hills Nature Preserve - one of my fall favorites.  Living in such a big city, there also are countless activities to celebrate the season, a few of which I've highlighted in this weekend's letter.  Full disclosure: I'm most looking forward to watching the latest James Bond movie this weekend.   Whatever you are up to this weekend, I hope that you have a great one! Local Happenings Plano Music & Arts Festival This Weekend, October 16-17 at Oak Point Park Enjoy concerts, art displays, a classic & exotic car show, frisbee dogs, and dozens of fun attractions. Check out the Taste of Texas Food Garden, with delicious cuisine and cold beers. Learn the Thriller Dance Sunday, October 17th. Learn how to master the “Thriller” dance on the Lawn at Grandscape. This event will feature a step by step dance class on Thriller, led by 6’oClock Dance Theatre.  Costumes are encouraged – so if you’re not up for busting a move, there will probably be good people watching. Six Flags Fright Fest Running through October 31st, Fright Fest offers thrills by day and fright by night.  At Six Flags, you can ride your favorite roller coaster, visit haunted attractions, and scare zones, or watch Halloween entertainment & shows.   A North Texas Halloween favorite!
