Into the Weekend - September 10th, 2021

It's Friday!  Isn't it funny how the short weeks seem like the longest?  I'm certainly happy for this weekend.  I'm also happy to be having glimpses of fall weather headed our way.   This weekend marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.  I remember exactly where I was that moment and I'm guessing that you can, too.  There are multiple remembrance ceremonies in North Texas this weekend. As usual, I've included a some local happenings, lifestyle tips and my market minute in this week's letter. I hope that you have a great weekend! -Matt Local Happenings Live on the Lawn: Cory Morrow Live on the Lawn, hosted by Play Frisco, will take place Friday, September 10 at Simpson Plaza. Gates open at 7 pm. Enjoy FREE music, yard games and a guitar giveaway. Plano West Band Parade & Concert This Saturday, the entire Plano West Mighty Wolf Band will be marching through the neighborhoods east and north of campus, finishing with a concert outside Brinker Elementary School. This annual march-a-thon is an important fundraiser for the band. 9/11 - 20-Year Remembrance On Saturday, September 11 at 6 p.m., the Frisco Garden Club will host the 20-Year Remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The ceremony will be at Freedom Meadow in Warren Sports Complex.
